Model Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL)-Metaphorming untuk Keterampilan Belajar dan Inovasi

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas model pembelajaran POGIL-Metaphorming dalam meningkatkan keterampilan belajar dan inovasi mahasiswa pada mata kuliah kriptografi. Model ini mengintegrasikan Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) dan Metaphorming untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar aktif dan berpusat pada mahasiswa, yang relevan dengan kebutuhan keterampilan abad ke-21. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode quasi jenis None-equivalent Control Group Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model POGIL-Metaphorming efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar pada tiga domain keterampilan. Pada ranah kognitif, mahasiswa kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan pemahaman konsep kriptografi yang signifikan, dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,57 dibandingkan 0,49 pada kelompok kontrol. Dalam ranah afektif, mahasiswa menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, komunikasi dan kolaborasi dengan rerata keterampilan sebesar 78,82, lebih tinggi dari kelompok kontrol. Pada ranah psikomotor, kelompok eksperimen memiliki keterampilan praktis yang lebih baik dengan rerata 78,59 dibandingkan 72,40 pada kelompok kontrol. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model POGIL-Metaphorming relevan dalam mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan teknologi informasi dengan kriptografi di era globalisasi.
