Abstract

This study aims to explore how the utilization of Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media can enhance students’ learning motivation and academic outcomes. Using a qualitative approach, the research investigates students’ experiences, perceptions, and responses to the use of AR media in the learning process. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis with secondary school students who used AR learning media over the course of one semester. Data analysis was conducted thematically to identify patterns of change in motivation and learning achievement. The findings reveal that AR-based learning media provide a more engaging and interactive learning experience, thereby increasing students’ intrinsic motivation. Furthermore, the use of AR media facilitates better conceptual understanding, which is reflected in a significant improvement in learning outcomes. This study recommends the broader integration of AR media in education as an innovative strategy to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
